In a recent investigation issue for MPI and FDS 5 Kevin McGratten mentioned in passing investigation that the publication of FDS 6.0.0 is planned for the current investigation month. The current Release Candidate 3 was released in December 2012, the official stable version 5.5.3 is from November 2010.
In the meantime, Kristopher Overholt has confirmed via Twitter that at the time the (probably) last validation tests will be run and will be released in the coming weeks FDS 6.0.0.
Update: our cluster is under a huge load right now as we are running the final validation investigation cases for FDS 6; just a few more small bugs to work out. You might have noticed so did we are hosting our FDS-SMV bundles and binaries on a service called Bintray since Google Code will no longer download Provide hosting for projects. This is all in preparation investigation for the big release. Soon! We'll keep users updated via the FDS-SMV development blog and other channels. investigation Leave a comment
